Vizio isn’t just sitting back letting the likes of Sony, Samsung and others have all the fun with the “Internet Connected” / Widget technology, and are getting in on the action as well in the latest HDTV models.
Vizio have announced three new “Connected HDTVs” which feature widget functionality, built in 802.11n wireless networking, an advanced sliding qwerty bluetooth remote.
The three new connected HDTVs are the 42-inch Vizio SV422XVT, 47-inch Vizio SV472XVT, and the 55-inch Vizio VF552XVT.
A number of provides are already signed up to work with Vizio such as Facebook, Twitter, Vudu, Revision3, Blockbuster OnDemand, Showtime, Flickr and many more.
The 42-inch Vizio SV422XVT will be the first available in November for $1,199. The 42-inch model the Vizio SV472XVT adds smart Dimming LED backlit and will be available in October for $1699.
The 55-inch Vizio VF552XVT will come later in December for $2,199, and also feature the smart dimming LED backlit technology.
All three sets feature Full HD / 1080p LCD panels.
