ViewSonic VP2365WB, VP2655WB

ViewSonic VP2365WBWhile I am mostly interested in HDTVs on this site, occasionally an LCD computer monitor catches my attention that I would like to share with you. ViewSonic have just announced two new “Professional” IPS LCD monitors with 1080p resolution and 118% NTSC wide color gamut.

The ViewSonic VP2365WB measures 23-inches, while the ViewSonic VP2655WB measures 26-inches. ViewSonic are aiming these monitors at professionals such as digital art, video production and photographers. This is because it uses IPS LCD technology rather than TN, giving it much higher contrast and color gamut, with much improved viewing angles than most monitors.

These are two of the more interesting monitors to be released by ViewSonic for a while. Both also feature pivoting stands and a built in 4-port USB hub.

The VP2365WB has a Full HD 1820 x 1080 resolution, while the larger model, the VP2655WB features a 1920 x 1200 resolution.

I own an IPS monitor and have to admit, the colors and viewing angle are far superior to a standard, common TN panel monitor.

The 23-inch ViewSonic VP2365WB is very well priced at $399, but the VP2655WB isn’t so light on your pocket at $1,299.
