Sony has announced another world’s first with their new Sony Z4500 Series of 1080p LCDs. The Z4500 series is the very first to feature Motionflow 200Hz system, doubling the rate of the previous Motionflow technology. 100Hz and 120Hz has become increasingly common among higher-end models across many manufactures, but Sony is the first to double this rate and move the technology forwards.
The new Motionflow 200Hz system generates three additional frames “in-between frames” for every original frame, increasing the frame rate from 50fps to 200fps. This leads to extremely smooth and clear motion reproduction throughout viewing and vastly improving high motion scenes. Along with Motionflow 200Hz the Sony Z4500 series also feature IB Reduction (Image Blur Reduction) to further improve image sharpness and clarity by improving the original frames before being processed by Motionflow.
The Sony Z4500 series will be available in three sizes. The 40-inch Sony KDL-40Z4500, 46-inch KDL-46Z4500 and the largest 52-inch KDL-52Z4500. The new Bravia Engine 2 image processing is used to improve image quality frame by frame in real time, producing deeper blacks, greater depth and finer details while reducing noise. The 1080p LCD screen in all the Sony Z4500 models feature a very high dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000:1. Other features include a light sensor, Live Colour Creation, x.v.Colour, 24p, USB Photo Viewer and Picture Frame Mode.
Also supported by the Sony Bravia Z4500′s is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), which allows it to simply network with other DLNA devices such as a home PC or music server, and stream and playback media.
