Sony have announced the new Bravia W3000, XBR4 and XBR5 series of Full HD 1080p LCD HDTVs. All models feature a 1920×1080 pixel resolution LCD screen, with 10-bit processing, Bravia Engine upscaling, x.v.Color wide color system, the popular XMB crossbar interface which will be familiar to PS3 and PSP users, and Sony’s Bravia Internet Video Link to stream HD video content directly to the set via the internet.
The Sony Bravia W3000 series feature an elegant brushed metal frame bezel, Live Color creation technology with a WCG-CCFL backlight and 10-bit processing and 10-bit panel which delivers 64 times the level of color expression than other 8-bit panels for a smoother transition between colors. The W3000 is available as the 52-inch KDL-52W3000 ($4,300), 46-inch KDL-46W3000 ($3,500) and 40-inch KDL-40W3000 ($2,700).
The Sony Bravia XBR4 series are available in 52-inch KDL-52XBR4, 46-inch KDL-46XBR4, 40-inch KDL-40XBR4 and the 32-inch KDL-32XBR4. They feature sony’s “floating glass” design look and have Motionflow 120Hz high frame / refresh rate which doubles the number of images shown to reduce motion blur and juddder. Eight different color frame bezels are available.
Also available for slightly more cash is the Sony Bravia XBR5 series which comes with the same features as the XBR4. The KDL-46XBR5 and KDL-40XBR5 and KDL-52XBR5 will be available.
