The latest Bravia to be announced by Sony is the Sony Bravia S4000 series. This new Sony S4000 range improves on the previous S3000 series by adding many new features and reducing the overall footprint size of the units. Although Sony have yet to announce the pricing for this series, we expect it to be aimed at the budget end of the market (going by the previous S series). This should make the S4000 series a great buy, as it shouldn’t break the bank, but offer some great HD features you wouldn’t find on some cheaper brands.
The Sony S4000 series will be available in four sizes ranging from 26-inches all the way up to 40-inches. Making use of Sony’s “Draw the Line” design concept features clean styling lines, with rounded corners, and black gloss finish looks great and is meant to enhance the viewing experience by not distracting from what is being displayed on the set.
The features look good on the Sony S4000′s, with the 26-inch KDL-26S4000, 32-inch KDL-32S4000 and 37-inch KDL-37S4000 models featuring HD ready LCD screens (720p / 1080i) with a high dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1, Bravia Engine image processing for improved image quality, theater mode, Integrated DVB-C/DVB-T tuners, 3x HDMI inputs, and 2x Scart inputs.
On the larger side of the Bravia S4000, the 40-inch Sony KDL-40S4000 offers a Full HD LCD screen (1080p) with 24p True Cinema mode (24fps playback rate), the improved Bravia Engine 2 processing and a higher 33,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, along with the other feature found on the other models.
We don’t have any information regarding pricing or release dates, but we expect them to land in Europe in the next few months. Sony Press Post
