The eagerly awaited 52-inch Sony KDL-52XBR6 is finally here, and has been reviewed to receive great remarks. The Sony KDL-52XBR6 has a very large 52-inch LCD screen, making it the largest in the Sony XBR6 series. Sony have always kept it’s “XBR” Bravia tag for it’s highest end models, and the XBR6 is very well placed, offering impressive features, but not the biggest price tag either.
The Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR6 has a full HD 1080p LCD screen, with a very high dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1 for impressive colors and deep blacks, 24p support and 120Hz MotionFlow for reducing motion blur and judder. Design wise the Sony KDL52XBR6 has a very attractive and unique design with interchangeable speaker grills to allow a little customization to get the look you want.
The 10-bit LCD panel, along with Sony Bravia Engine 2 and high contrast ratio produces the deepest black levels of non-LED HDTV to date. Connections on the KDL-52XBR6 are very good with four HDMI 1.3 inputs, 2x component, PC VGA input, s-video, composite and also a USB 2.0 input for viewing photos directly on the screen. Cnet looked at the KDL-52XBR6 and said, the XBR6 looked more realistic than the Samsung A650 or the other Sony and even a bit darker than the Panasonic plasma, details in shadows were quite distinct, thanks in part to the fact that gamma in the Low position was very good.
