Sony KDL-46S3000 Reviewed

Sony KDL-46S3000Sony has released a bunch of new HDTV lines recently, and the Sony KDL-46S3000 is their largest set from their S3000 series. The KDL-46S3000 has a 46-inch LCD screen offering a 1366 x 768 resolution for 720p and 1080i HD formats. Price at somewhere between the competition’s budget lines and Sony’s own top of the line 1080p sets the KDL-46S3000 is sure to be a popular choice for many users who want a quality name, and a big set at a price which will not sting too much.
The Sony KDL-46S3000 has an advanced menu system that will be familiar to PSP and PS3 users and also takes advantage of Sony’s Bravia Internet Video Link for HD delivery. Cnet have reviewed the KDL-46S3000 and say, connectivity of the Sony KDL-46S3000 is perfectly adequate for a midlevel HDTV. Its total of two HDMI inputs is one fewer than many HDTVs on the market this year, but otherwise there’s little missing. The back panel also includes the requisite pair of component-video inputs, an AV input with composite and S-video, a second AV input with only composite video, a VGA PC input.
The highlights of the Sony KDL-46S3000′s picture include relatively deep black levels and commendable standard-def video processing, but we would have appreciated a bit sharper of an image with 1080 sources and a more accurate color temperature.
