Sony has just rolled out a new 40-inch LCD full HDTV to the market, and it has already appeared on their official website. The Sony KDL-40D3500 is from their Bravia D range, and this appears to be an upgraded model sporting the new Bravia D3500 model number, making it an upgrade from the Sony KDL40D3000.
This new Sony Bravia KDL40D3500 has a large 40-inch LCD screen with a full hd (1080p) resolution providing a total of 6.2 mega pixels for the highest quality images. From what we can see, this new D3500 model improves over the D3000 with the addition of Sony’s Bravia Engine which enhances image clarity, colours and definition, and also Live Color Creation to boost colours and contrast. As the LCD is 1080p it is perfect for new HD media such as Blu-ray films and next generation game consoles.
24p support enables the KDL-40D3500 to play back at exactly 24 frames per second, which is the same rate at which films at recorded at, providing you with the ability to watch films back exactly as they were planed. A high 178 degree viewing angle provides easy viewing from anywhere in the room, and a fast 8ms response time ensures clear images. A very high dynamic contrast ratio of 16000:1 provide excellent colours with vivid but natural tones.
Over all the Sony KDL40D3500 looks like a great HDTV with excellent specifications and features, the high resolution screen, Bravia Engine, Live colour creation, excellent contrast ratio, 24p all point to supreme image quality.
There are 2x HDMI inputs, component, scart, a PC VGA input for PC or media center use and other common inputs and outputs. The Sony KDL40D3500 features internal digital and analog tuners for other the air broadcasts.
