The Sharp XS1 series is their new flagship series of LCD HDTVs from their Aquos line. The Sharp Aquos XS1 series was recently announced at this years IFA in Berlin, and Sharp are using the phrase “Ultra large, ultra slim LCD TV”, which certainly seems to be true. Increasingly over the last year or so, manufacturers seem to be in a race to produce the thinnest HDTV possible, this leads to some great looking products for the consumer.
The new Sharp XS1 flagship line claims to have the world’s slimmest TV body, at just 2.3 cm thick, giving them a very thin and also light weight, so they can be easily mounted on the wall. And now for the “ultra large” part. The Sharp XS1′s will be available in 52-inch as the Sharp LC-52XS1E, and 65-inch sizes as the Sharp LC-65XS1E. As well as looking good and being very slim, the XS1′s also have great specifications (as you would expect from their flagship line), such as the RGB LED backlighting which provides an amazing 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for exceptional colors and contrast on the full HD 1080p LCD screen.
Also featured is a slim, detachable speaker system with 5x 2.1 channel speakers to provide impressive and accurate sound you would expect to find on a highend model. A gallery mode to display your photos from a USB stick is also available. Expect to see the Sharp Aquos XS1 series in October 08.
