Sharp, not to be out done by their rivals have added have added two new Aquos ranges to their lineup, which they are showing off at this years IFA. The two new series of LCDs are all full HD 1080p sets offering eight different sets in total ranging from 23-inches to 52-inches.
Sharp XL2E Series
First up is the Sharp XL2E Series from their Aquos line up, which will be available in three sizes, the 42-inch LC-42XL2E, the 46-inch LC-46XL2E and the largest 52-inch LC-52XL2E. All of these LCD sets are full HD 1080p and offers 100Hz technology. The 1080p sets also support 24p for 24fps at 1080p for the exact frame rate the movie was recorded in.
The Sharp XL2E range have a true 2,000:1 contrast ratio, with dynamic backlighting for a high 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, giving great vibrant colors. All come with a built in DVB-T digital tuner along with a standard analogue tuner with three HDMI 1.3 inputs, component, VGA PC input and feature SRS Tru Surround.

Sharp X20E Series
Along with the XL2E sets, Sharp has also released five full HD LCDs in the Sharp X20E Aquos series. The x20E’s will be available in five sizes from 32 to 52-inches, the 32-inch LC-32X20E, 37-inch, LC-37X20E, 42-inch LC-42X20E, 46-inch LC-46X20E and finally the huge 52-inch LC52-X20E.
All feature a full 1080p Full HD LCD screen also with 24p (24fps) support. Not too many details are currently avaliable, but we do know the X20Es have three HDMI 1.3 inputs, 2x scart, component, and also a CI slot for pay TV support.
Sharp has also announced the launch of five new 1080p TVs apart of the X20E series. The new models will come in 32-inch, 37-inch, 42-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch models. Prices should be announced in the next few weeks, and the sets should be out before the end of the year.
