Sharp LC-42D62U
The Sharp LC-42D62U is the 42-inch LCD HDTV from Sharps LC-D62U series, which also offers a 46-inch LC-46D62U and the largest 52-inch LC-52D62U.
The LC-42D62U LCD like the rest of the LC-52D62U series are 1080p HDTVs giving them a full HD resolution of 1,920×1,080 for maximum quality.
The LC-42D62U has very impressive performance and has one of the best black levels available currently. The 42-incher has a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and a 6 millisecond response time and a built in HDTV tuner so there is no need for an external box, unfortunately there is no CableCard slot. Connectivity is good, featuring two HDMI inputs, two component and S-video, but no PC input (but a DVI to HDMI adapter is an option).
