The Sharp RX5 series is Sharp’s new flag ship top of the line full HD 1080p LCD HDTVs, which will be available in three different sizes and two color options. The largest AQUOS R series is the 65-inch Sharp LC-65RX5, followed by the the 52-inch LC-52RX5 and the 46-inch LC-46RX5. All three are available in either black or interestingly enough, brown. The 1080p RX5′s feature 120Hz motion, a high dynamic ratio of 20,000:1 and 12-bit image processing, along with Internet access. The 42-inch and 52-inch have a slim 5.5cm frame depth, while the 65-inch a 6.6cm depth.
Sharp AQUOS G / GX5 Series | LC-52GX5, LC-46GX5, LC-42GX5, LC-37GX5, LC-32GX5, LC-32GH5, LC-26GH5
The Sharp Aquos GX5 / G series is the new mainstream series and comes in a wide range of sizes from 26-inches all the way to 52-inches. The Sharp GX models all feature a full HD 1080p LCD screen, and are available as in the following models. The 52-inch Sharp LC-52GX5, 46-inch LC-46GX5, 42-inch LC-42GX5, 37-inch LC-37GX5 and 32-inch LC-32GX5. The GH5 models have a 1,366 × 768 resolution screen, and are available as the 32-inch LC-32GH5 or 26-inch LC-26GH5.
It is nice to see a choice of a 1080p or 720p screen on the 32-inch models, although most people agree 1080p shows no advantage over 720p at 32-inches or smaller. Also featured is DNLA access, Internet, and an around speaker system. 120Hz is also featured along with 24p support and three HDMI 1.3 inputs.
Sharp AQUOS D Series | LS-42DS5, LS-37DS5, LS-32DS5
Lastly come the AQUOS D Series which is available as the 42-inch Sharp LS-42DS5, 37-inch LS-37DS5, and 32-inch LS-32DS5. All three are available in black, white and red colors for extra choice. The D series all feature a full HD 1080p resolution Black ASV LCD panel with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 24p support with three HDMI 1.3 inputs. Look out for these in June.
