The Sharp Aquos A series will as usual, first be released in Japan, and then wing it’s way over the the rest of us. Available in three sizes as the 40-inch Sharp LC-40AE6, 46-inch LC-46AE6, and the 52-inch LC-52AE6.
All three will feature a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel, full HD resolution, along with 120Hz high refresh rate to reduce judder and motion blur during panning and high motion scenes. There is also a 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness and high 176 degree viewing angles.
The Sharp A series also feature energy saving features such as an ambient light sensor, which adjust the backlight brightness, depending on the room brightness, to save power, and product better contrasts.
All feature built in digital tuners, and feature 3x HDMI 1.3 inputs, along with a PC VGA input. The Sharp LC-52AE6 and LC-46AE6 ship mid May, while the LC-40AE6 ships mid April. Converted prices are shown below.
