Strangely, Samsung hasn’t just released two sizes with one model number and two colors each, but a different model number for each size and color. You will be able to have the Samsung Series 8 in either a “deep blue” or “rose red” finish in 46-inch or 52-inch sizes. The red version (850′s) have the following model numbers, 46-inch Samsung LN46A850, and 52-inch LN52A850. The blue (860′s) as the 46-inch LN46A860 and 52-inch LN52A860.
The “Touch of Color” design speaks for it’s self, sleek, stylish and beautiful, leaving Samsung with a winning design. Feature wise, the Samsung Series 8 (850 / 860) are equally as impressive with Auto Motion Plus 120Hz technology for sharp, judder free images even during high motion scenes, a high 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for great colors, down firing speakers with integrated sub woofer.
Even with the two different model numbers (850 and 860) all features appear to be the same, apart from, interestingly the 860 has a extra USB 2.0 port. Other features include WiseLink and InfoLink RSS information service providing news, weather and other information differently on the screen, DLNA networking support, Wide Color Enhancer 2, and DNIe Pro image enhancing technology.
