Samsung LN40R81B, LN32R81B, LN23R81W

Samsung LN40R81BSamsung has added three new LCD HDTVs to their midrange Bordeaux lineup. I have long been a fan of Samsung’s designs as some of the very best looking HDTVs available, and these new LCDs look just as great. All three sets are 720p / 1080i HD screens in 23-inches LN23R81W, 32-inch LN23R81W and 40-inch LN40R81B.

All of these Samsung’s feature a 1366×768 pixel panel with an 8ms response time, while the larger two, the Samsung LN40R81B and the Samsung LN32R81B have an 8,000:1 contrast ratio and 550cd/m2 brightness, while the smaller 23-inch Samsung LN23R81W has a 4,000:1 contrast ration and 450cd/m2 brightness.

View angles for the larger two are 178 degrees while the 32-inch is 160 degrees. All feature Individual image processing engine “DNle” (Digital Natural Image Engine) for enhanced image quality, contrast, noise reduction, and other optimizations and also feature a special “game mode”.

All feature HDMI 1.2a inputs, 2x on the LN23R81W and 3x on the LN40R81B, LN32R81B models, component, s-video, 2x composite, 1x PC VGA.
