Sony B4000 (Bravia B4000)
Over the last week, Sony introduced 17 new HDTVs for 2008 for the US. I’m sure some of these will make it over to Europe. The Sony Bravia B4000 has just been announced by Sony Europe as a “portable” HDTV. Sony are aiming the B4000 series at people who wish modern sets were not so big and bulky and hard to move around. Sony 2008 HDTV Lineup
Sony has been very busy at this years CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and have announced a total of 17 brand new Sony Bravia LCD HDTVs to the market.
They have split these 17 new models into six different model lines, starting at the top of the line down, the Z, W, V, XBR6, N and M Series. Covering a size ranging from just 19-inches all the way to 52-inches. Read more
Sony KDL32XBR4 Review
The Sony KDL32XBR4 (KDL-32XBR4) is a 32-inch LCD HDTV (31.5-inch diagonal) from Sony’s Bravia XBR4 series. Sony KDL40W3000 Review
The Sony KDL40W3000 1080p LCD HDTV is a 40-inch LCD from Sony’s latest W3000 series. The previous Sony W series (W2000) received great reviews and we can only expect better from their new range. The Sony W3000 is from Sony’s higher end of the ranges and offers some very good features and specifications. Read more
Sony V Series | Bravia V3000, V5000 Series
The Sony V Series consists of the Sony Bravia V3000, and V5000 series of LCD HDTVs. Both series are again full HD at 1080p (1920×1080p pixel resolution) for the highest HD format, and a 10-bit LCD panel and comes with internal digital and analog tuners. The Sony V5000 series comes in 40, 46, and 52-inch sizes, while the V3000 come in 40 and 56-inches. Read more
Sony W Series | Bravia W5000
In between the X and the V series, comes the Sony W Series / Sony Bravia W5000 which are available in 40, 46 and 52-inch sizes. With a release date of November 10th 2007, the W Series Bravia’s offer a full HD 1080p resolution 10bit LCD panel, with 500cd/m2 brightness, 2,200:1 contrast ratio for the 40 and 46 inch, while the 52inch has a 2,000:1 ratio. Sony X Series | Bravia X5050, X5000 Series
Sony have announced their new Sony Bravia X series of full HD LCD HDTVs, although the Sony X Series really consists of three different series, the Sony X5050, the X5000 and the X7000, bringing a total of seven sets. All the sets in the Bravia X Series are full 1080p HD panels with 10bit processing, and 8ms response time. Read more
Sony KDL-32D3000 Review
Sony’s second generation of Bravia HDTVs come in the form of the 32-inch Sony KDL-32D3000. The KDL-32D3000 is a good looking black gloss finished, solidly built set, with 720p/1080i HD formats from it’s 1366×768 pixel resolution LCD. The 32-inch Bravia offers a 1600:1 contrast ratio, which is boosted to a 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio through black light dimming technology, and offers a brightness of 450cd/m2. Sony Vaio LT HD PC/TV
The Sony Vaio LT HD is very interesting. We have had some models of equipment on this site which are both a LCD computer monitor and a HDTV in one, but the Sony Vaio LT HD is a PC and HDTV in one. The Vaio LT HD PC/TV looks like one of Sony’s floating glass HDTVs but it hides away a fully blown PC. To me this sounds like a very good idea, because more and more people want to use their large high resolution screen with their PC and for movie watching. Read more
