Samsung HL-S5679W Review
The Samsung HL-S5679W is a 56-inch rear projection 1080p “Full HD” HDTV. Whats different and new about the HL-S5679W is that in the rear projection unit, the traditional light source uses a single arc lamp, the HL-S5679W use three LED lights to produce a very bright and vivid light which is also a lot more efficient. CEN HomeTheater have reviewed the HL-S5679W and say, Illuminating that screen is the most innovative component of this product, a new kind of solid-state LED light source that uses what’s called photonic lattice technology, or Phlatlight. It’s a light source that has the benefits of both LEDs and laser light. Using this technology instead of a conventional mercury arc lamp gives you 20,000 hours of lamp life, meaning that you’ll probably never need to change any bulbs throughout the life of the set.

Samsung HP-S4253 Review at PC World
The Samsung HP-S4253 is Samsung’s latest 42-inch plasma with a stylish piano black finish.
PC world has reviewed the HP-S4253 and say it performed fairly well in our tests, with jurors awarding it particularly high scores on our DVD test. Colours and skin tones in scenes from our test movies, Seabiscuit and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King looked bright and accurate. The plasma also fared well with high-definition content, though some jurors found that the HP-S4253 did better in darker scenes than in brighter ones. Standard-definition pictures, on the other hand, looked pixelated and skin tones acquired a greenish hue.
The set offers plenty of connections, including two sets of component inputs, one S-Video input and a VGA input for connecting a PC to the TV. The plasma also includes two HDMI inputs, Read more
Samsung LN-S4096D Review
The Samsung LN-S4096D is a very smart and elegant looking LCD with very good connectivity and features. Cnet has a review of the LN-S4096D and writes The Samsung LN-S4096D looks slick and high-tech with its rectangular glossy-black frame. Unlike its step-down brother, the LN-S4051D, the 96D’s frame is standard rectangular fare, although the snazzy stand adds some zing with its oblong shape and narrow-waist post. While we like the swivel, our favorite design element is the clear plastic strip hung below the frame and running the width of the panel. It not only lends a subtle classiness to the TV, it serves a practical purpose by deflecting sound from the bottom-mounted, tastefully concealed speakers out into the room.
Samsung LN-S4096D separates itself from other 40-something flat-panel LCDs, such as the company’s own LN-S4051D, Read more
Samsung HL-S5687W Review at Audaud
The cabinet of the HL-S5687W is quite beautiful in its high gloss black trim. There is less of it than with the Pioneer Elite display – about 3/4†around the screen – but what there is is equally classy-looking.
In dead center of the front of the display just under the bezel portion is a very large round button. It’s the not-to-be-missed on/off button. Over on the right side of the bezel area are LEDs for Standby, Timer and Lamp – the latter coming on when you need to replace the single light source in the rear of the display.
Although the 5687W has 1080p native resolution, it achieves this high performance using “wobulation†technology which effectively doubles horizontal resolution. The DLP chip itself only has 960×1,080 discrete pixels, vs. the 1,920×1,080 discrete pixels of LCoS displays. All the various sources, including standard-def TV, are scaled to fit the pixels available.

Samsung PS50Q7HD Review
If your looking for a very attractive large plasma set, the Samsung PS50Q7HD could be considered a king in that respect. With it’s smooth black finish and slim line frame the PS50Q7HD is not just all looks, it also has some great specs to back it up.
Remarkably the digital tuner of the PS50Q7HD is far from the only eye-catching feature of this cut-price plasma. For starters it’s also HD Ready thanks to: the inclusion of component video jacks alongside the HDMI; a sufficiently high native resolution of 1,366 x 768; and full compatibility with the necessary 720p and 1080i HD formats. (There’s no 1080p support, though.)
Also startling is a claimed contrast ratio of 10000:1, an outlandish figure that promises black level talents that at least rival those of plasma superstars like the latest models from Panasonic and Pioneer.

Samsung LE40F7 / LE46F7 LCDs
Samsung have intruduced two Full HD HDTVs, the 40-inch LE40F7 and the 46-inch LE46F7. As the LE40F7 / LE46F7 LCDs are full HD sets, this means they support the full 1080p resolution of 1920×1080p which is the highest HD resolution. This provdes the best detail for all upcomming devices such as Blu-ray and HD DVD.
The Samsung LE40F7 / LE46F7 LCDs new LCD TVs are elegant ornaments for any environment, with a high gloss finish, transparent bottom plate, hidden bar speaker, and swivel stand. The stylish ocean blue LED indicator light illuminates the transparent bottom plate with the colour of the ocean at sunset.

Samsung LE40M91 LED backlit LCD
The Samsung LE40M91 is an LED backlit LCD HDTV. The LED Backlighting of the LE40M91 has improved contrast ration and color gamut over traditional LCD screens. The LE40M91 is also the winner of the “Innovation Award” from the EISA.
The Samsung LE40M91 LED backlit LCD measures 40-inches and run at 720p resolution and have a very nice 10,000:1 contrast ration with 450 nits brightness and 146% color gamut.
The LED light source helps increase the panel life, and features 50 frames per second, which can create drag in fast-moving videos, whereas the 40-inch LCD TV employs Samsung’s LCD 100 Hz technology, which inserts a frame between every two frames, considerably reducing motion blurs, claimed Samsung. The inserted frame maintains the detailed motion characteristic of the video and goes through motion estimation and compensation processing, said the company, adding that compared to a mere duplication and insertion of frames, more natural motion can be realized without undermining other characteristics such as clarity, brightness and color.
The LE40M91 is rumoured to go for around $3,000 when released and included two HDMI ports.
Samsung LN-S5296D

Connection wise the LN-S5296D is doing very well also, with two HDMI inputs, two component, RGB and a USA port. If you look around you will find some online shops accepting pre-orders at a lower price of $4,999, with an expected ship date of Sept 8th. For a top specification 50-inch HDTV we think the LN-S5296D will sell very well.
Samsung LE32R74BDX Review
The 32R74BDX’s features are pleasingly numerous, and it’s looks are amazing, one of the best, if not the best looking HDTVs out there. As with all the TVs we’re covering in our World Cup run-up it’s fully HD Ready, adding to its HD connectivity a suitably high native resolution of 1,366 x 768 and compatibility with the key 720p and 1080i HD formats. Early word from Samsung had suggested the 32R74BDX might also handle the new 1080p HD format, but experiments with our resident 1080p-upscaling Marantz DV9600 DVD player suggest this is not actually the case.
The 32R74BDX’s pictures aren’t perfect. First, although they’re decent, black levels don’t plummet quite as deep as one or two LCD rivals these days. Read more
