Hitachi H401, T501 Series
Hitachi have two new plasma lines for 2007, the H401 and the T501. The T501 is pretty much much the same as the T401 but with the addition of a high-contrast anti-reflective glass screen, and an SD Card Photo Viewer to view digital photographs.

Hitachi 37LD8600 Review
Hitachi does a first for a major HDTV name and have released a 37-inch LCD for under £900, the 37LD8600. TrustedReviews have a review, saying as you might expect of a £900 37in LCD TV that can’t even be bothered to include a digital tuner, other interesting features are in seriously short supply. HD Ready status is, thankfully, wrapped up by compatibility with the necessary 720p and 1080i HD formats together with a sufficiently high native pixel count of 1,366 x 768. You’re also provided with an optional video noise reduction system, 3DS processing for producing a pseudo surround sound stage from the built-in speakers, and an optional 3D comb filter that should improve colour transitions.

Hitachi 55PD9700 Review
Hitachi’s 55-inch 55PD9700 plasma is yours for just £2,750. Surely such an extreme-value proposition can’t actually be half great, can it?
It starts well, at least, by looking pretty plush. Its ‘Japan Black’ screen frame is opulently glossy, while the dark silver speakers protruding from either side provide a tasteful contrast. The 55PD9700 even comes on a motorised pedestal stand, allowing you to adjust its angle by 30 degrees left or right via the remote control.
Unlike many large flat screens out there, the 55PD9700 was designed from the ground up for domestic rather than corporate users – something emphatically confirmed by its connections, which include those home cinema essentials of two HDMI inputs, component video inputs, three Scarts, a PC jack and an aerial input. Hitachi 42HDT52 Review
Hitachi’s new UltraVision 42-inch 42HDT52 sits second from the top of the company’s 2005 plasma line. In other words, it has a full complement of features and excellent connectivity, and it costs more than your typical 42-inch plasma ($4,400 list). We really like its awesome-looking design and form factor, and we have to admit that its motorized swivel stand, while a bit gimmicky, is still pretty darn cool
We really liked the Hitachi 42HDT52’s Day and Night modes, which provide two independent memories per input. In Day mode, you might crank up contrast and brightness to adjust for ambient light; in Night mode, you might calibrate the settings for optimum picture quality in a controlled environment.
The connectivity on this panel is quite generous. Unlike many sets, the Hitachi 42HDT52 offers two HDMI inputs. It also has two component-video inputs, two A/V inputs with S-Video, two RF inputs (one for antenna and one for cable TV), the CableCard slot, a set of monitor A/V outputs with S-Video, and a FireWire port.
