Pioneer PDP-607XD Reviewed

Pioneer PDP-607XDThe huge Pioneer PDP-607XD plasma is a whopping 60-inches and defiantly looks the classy part. The PDP-607XD has a resolution of 1,365 x 768 pixels, a brightness of 1000cd/m2 with a contrast ratio of 4.000:1, features a built in digital tuner, has 2x HDMI inputs, VGA PC input (want a huge PC monitor?!), component, s-video and scart inputs. The Pioneer PDP-607XD has some unique image enhancing features such as the PUREBLACK Panel 2 and Direct Color Filter 2 as well as 1080/24p video format which enable you to view films in 1080p at the correct frame rate they were filmed at.

TrustedReviews have taken a look at the mighty Pioneer PDP-607XD and say, Pioneer’s Direct Colour Filter 2, replaces the traditional heavy glass layer in a plasma screen with a much thinner, lighter filter arrangement that does away with the secondary offset image you can sometimes see while watching normal plasma glass from an angle.

Adding to all the picture glories, is a suitably awesome performance from the optional extra speakers, which deliver almost hi-fi levels of clarity, power and frequency range and make the speakers built into many TVs sound like two tin cans and a bit of string.
