The Philips Ambilight LCD HDTVs have always been impressive, and also popular with the public. Philips have now announced their Philips 9600 Ambilight FlatTV Series, with is their new highend model. The Philips 9600 Series feature a full HD 1080p LCD screen, look simply stunning, and are available in four sizes from 32-inch to 47-inches.

The Philips 9600 Series is available as the 32-inch 32PFL9603D, 37-inch 37PFL9603D, 42-inch 42PFL9603D, and the biggest 47-inch 47PFL9603D. All feature Philip’s latest Perfect Pixel picture processing engine for image enhancement. Processing power has been boosted along with the additon of 100Hz technology to reduce motion blur and image juddering typically seen in image panning and high motion scenes.

A fast 2ms response time and the ‘Perfect Contrast’ system automatically adjusts the backlight for an amazing 30,000:1 contrast ratio which is 4x that found on previous Philips models, leading to amazing colours and contrast.

Full 1080p 24p (24fps) support, along with an impressive 4x HDMI 1.3 inputs, along with the Ambilight atmospheric lighting and invisible speakers finish the Philips 9600 Series nicely.

Expect to see these new HDTVs in June this year.
