Panasonic TX-P42G10 Reviewed

panasonic tx-p42g10Panasonic’s latest mid to highend plasma HDTVs for 2009 make use of Panasonic’s NeoPDP panel, bringing enhanced brightness and contrasts.

The Panasonic TX-P42G10 is the 42-inch model from the Panasonic G10 range of plasma HDTVs. The featured NeoPDP panel offers a full HD / 1080p pixel resolution for the highest HD quality, along with some of the highest contrasts, rated at 40,000:1, and a crazy 2,000,000:1 with dynamic mode enabled. This delivers vivid colors along with very deep, true blacks.

While we have seen 120Mhz, and even 240Mhz refresh rates on some models the Panasonic TX-P42G10 takes things a big step further with the 600Hz sub-field drive. Which delivers frames at a very fast 600 frames per second. This keeps fast moving images looking very sharp and crisp on the screen, significantly reducing motion blur and image judder.

The Panasonic Viera TX-P42G10 also features built in FreeView and FreeSat tuners, and features three HDMI inputs. TrustedReviews looked at the Panasonic TX-P42G10 and gave it nine out of ten for both image quality and overall. They also said Panasonic’s NeoPDP panels have moved the brand’s plasma technology up a gear, and so are well worth saving up for over Panasonic’s latest non-NeoPDP models. Once you’ve taken the TX-P42G10′s aggressive price and Freesat tuner into account, it stands out as another seriously fine addition to Panasonic’s impressive plasma tradition.
