Panasonic TH-50PX70 Review

Viera TH-50PX70The Panasonic Viera TH-50PX70 is one of the very first HDTVs released from Panasonic’s new 2007 Viera line up. The TH-50PX70 look great, has a very slim frame and offers a vast 50-inch plasma screen and does not cost the earth, making this plasma very affordable for it’s size. Cnet UK have reviewed the TH-50PX70 and say, like previous Viera plasmas, the build quality is top class. Everything feels completely solid, including the pedestal stand, and there’s no sign of cheap plastic anywhere on the outside. Also the black levels of this TV are excellent, meaning that you get a convincing, more cinematic contrast range than most LCDs.

While we’d have preferred this TV to have a 1,920×1,080 ‘Full HD’ resolution so that it could display a little more detail with HD sources, it’s certainly one of the most impressive plasma TVs around.
