The Samsung BD-P2400 blu-ray player can black back BD at native HD resolutions of 1080p / 1080i and 720p and can up-convert standard DVDs to 1080p over HDMI. Read more

Samsung Ships 2007 Models | 76, 87 and 89 Series

Samsung 94 seriesSamsung have announced their 84 series and 94 series plasmas, featuring full 1080p displays with 15,000:1 contrast ratio, UltraBright light diffusion engine, 18-bit color processing, ATSC / clear QAM tuners, 3x CEC HDMI inputs and USB.  Now if your looking for something a little extra, the Samsung 94 series features 802.11n WiFi streaming for upto 1080i HD video to the set. The black gloss style of the new Samsung Swan LCDs / monitors look very much like the typical design of HDTVs we are currently seeing. Samsung BD-P1400

Samsung’s third generation Blu-ray player the Samsung BD-P1400 is set to make it’s grand debut on August 31st in Berlin at the 2007 IFA. The BD-P1400 is rumored , but not confirmed to support Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD and Dolby True HD, along with a built in Ethernet port. Read more

Toshiba Regza H3300Toshiba have introduced two huge 120Hz LCD HDTVs with integrated HD recorders, named the Toshiba Regza H3300. The H3300 line available as the 46-inch Toshiba 46H3300, or the even more huge Toshiba 52H3300. Both feature tuners and a 300GB slot loading disk drive with the ability to add even more storage space via an eSATA expansion drive. Read more

ATI TV Wonder 600 USB, 650 PCIe HD Tuners

AMD / ATI have announced two new TV Wonder HD tuner products , the TV Wonder 600 USB and the TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe. Both of the new tuners come with Catalyst Media Center software and are fully compatible with Windows Vista Media Center and Windows XP Media Center. Samsung LN-T3742H | LN-T42H SeriesThe Samsung LN-T42H series is Samsung’s current entry-level LCD HDTV line, which come in five different sizes. From the smallest to the biggest, the 23-inch LN-T2342H, 26 inch LN-T2642H, 32-inch LN-T3242H, 40-inch LN-T4042H and the largest, 46-inch LN-T4642H.
All sets give you typically what you would expect from a good brand name LCD manufacturer, giving you a native resolution of 1,366×768 pixels for 720p and 1080i HD formats. Read more

Sharp LC32RD2EThe Sharp LC32RD2E is a 32-inch LCD HDTV with 100Hz technology. 32-inches and 37-inch HDTVs are currently the most popular size on the market, so the LC32RD2E has to be great to compete in this highly competitive size market. The Sharp LC32RD2E has a 1366×768 resolution for 720p and 1080i HD formats, but not 1080p or “Full HD”, but do not let this disappoint you. Many tests on both all HD formats have shown that is is very hard, if not impossible to see any advantage or improvement in 1080p for HDTVs 32-inches or smaller. Read more
