The LocationFree Home HD equipment range and specificaly the LF-W1HD can transmit AVC/H.264 formated video between the wireless transmitter and receiver over 802.11a/b/g, but not 802.11n. Read more

Philips 32PFL7602DPhilips have announced two very nice sleek looking, Ivory colored LCD HDTVs, which they are calling future proof. Available as the 32-inch 32PFL7602D, or the smaller 19-inch 19PFL5602D, both offer 2x HDMI inputs, Virtual Dolby Surround, and an integrated Digital DVB-T tuner allowing you to easily tune in to signals without the need of an external decoder box. Sony V Series | Bravia V3000, V5000 Series

Sony V SeriesThe Sony V Series consists of the Sony Bravia V3000, and V5000 series of LCD HDTVs. Both series are again full HD at 1080p (1920x1080p pixel resolution) for the highest HD format, and a 10-bit LCD panel and comes with internal digital and analog tuners. The Sony V5000 series comes in 40, 46, and 52-inch sizes, while the V3000 come in 40 and 56-inches. Read more

Sony W Series | Bravia W5000

Sony W SeriesIn between the X and the V series, comes the Sony W Series / Sony Bravia W5000 which are available in 40, 46 and 52-inch sizes. With a release date of November 10th 2007, the W Series Bravia’s offer a full HD 1080p resolution 10bit LCD panel, with 500cd/m2 brightness, 2,200:1 contrast ratio for the 40 and 46 inch, while the 52inch has a 2,000:1 ratio. Sony X Series | Bravia X5050, X5000 Series

Sony X SeriesSony have announced their new Sony Bravia X series of full HD LCD HDTVs, although the Sony X Series really consists of three different series, the Sony X5050, the X5000 and the X7000, bringing a total of seven sets. All the sets in the Bravia X Series are full 1080p HD panels with 10bit processing, and 8ms response time. Read more

Sony BDP-S500 Blu-ray Player

Sony has announced the Sony BDP-S500 Blu-ray Player, which seems to be an upgraded / higher spec BDP-S300 player. The BDP-S500 is very similar to the S300, design and size wise, but in addition offers HDMI 1.3, instead of the standard HDMI v1, and supports x.v Color, and also True HD and DTS-HD1 audio. Sharp XL2E, X20E Aquos Series

Sharp, not to be out done by their rivals have added have added two new Aquos ranges to their lineup, which they are showing off at this years IFA. The two new series of LCDs are all full HD 1080p sets offering eight different sets in total ranging from 23-inches to 52-inches. Read more

Philips BDP7100

Philips have shown off one of their latest Blu-ray players at the IFA at Berlin. The Philips BDP7100 Blu-ray player supports 1080p (Full HD), 24p (24fps), HDMI-CEC, and both True HD and DTS HD audio formats. Read more

Sony KDL-32D3000 Reviewed

Sony Bravia KDL-32D3000Sony’s second generation of Bravia HDTVs come in the form of the 32-inch Sony KDL-32D3000. The KDL-32D3000 is a good looking black gloss finished, solidly built set, with 720p/1080i HD formats from it’s 1366×768 pixel resolution LCD.  The 32-inch Bravia offers a 1600:1 contrast ratio, which is boosted to a 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio through black light dimming technology, and offers a brightness of 450cd/m2. Sharp HD1E Series | LC-46HD1E, LC-52HD1E

Sharp LC-52HD1E (HD1E-Series)Sharp has two new full hd (1080p) LCD HDTVs from their new HD1E series, the 46-inch Sharp LC-46HD1E, and the larger 52-inch Sharp LC-52HD1E. Both sets have a full 1920×1080 pixel resolution and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50% higher than their previous XL1E models, but the exact measurements have not been disclosed, but we expect it to be above 2500:1.
