Providing a convenient all-in-one HD home theater solution. Making use of a side-loading slot feed for blu-ray, DVD and CD content. As soon as a disc is inserted, the HDTV will turn on, and start playing back the content. Read more

Sony 2009 HDTV Lineup

Sony has unleashed their official information at this years CES show, announcing six new HDTV ranges.  This is the same number as last year, but all the models are brand new.

First up we have their typical flagship XBR range, this year known as the Sony XBR9 series which is available in three sizes. Read more

Sony VE5 | KDL-52VE5, KDL-46VE5, KDL-40VE5

sony Bravia VE5Just as I predicted, Sony has announced the “Eco Bravia“, the Sony VE5 series, which is an highly energy efficient television range. The Sony Bravia VE5 series uses 40% less power than most other LCD HDTVs of the same size.

All Sony Bravia VE5 models feature a zero-watt standby power switch which cuts power usage to “nearly zero watts”, along with a motion sensor which can turn the HDTV off if no motion is detected. Read more

The Sony Z5100 series, also known as the Sony Z Series is just one step down from the top of the range Sony XBR9 series.  Much like the XBR9, the Sony Bravia Z series features very impressive Internet connectivity, by combining Sony’s Bravia Internet Video link inside the HDTVs with widgets the LCD HDTV can deliver real time information such as news and weather, and can also stream live Internet video streams. Sony Bravia XBR9The newly announced Sony XBR9 series builds on the impressive XBR range, which is known as Sony’s very best, flag ship HDTV model.

Like many other HDTVs we are seeing announced at this year’s CES show, The Sony Bravia XBR9 series are concentrating heavily on Internet connectivity of the sets. The Sony XBR9′s are the first models to feature Internet applications which Sony call widgets. Read more

LG 2009 HDTV Lineup

LG 55LHXLG has been very busy and have announced 12 new HDTV ranges for 2009. Just announced today at this year’s CES, LG have announced nine new LCD HDTV ranges, and three plasma ranges. Covering a large range from a small 19-inches all the way up to 60-inches.

Many of these new HDTVs from LG feature LED backlighting for improved contrast and energy saving, TruMotion 240Hz and wireless technology. The LG LH50, and LG PS80 series feature LG’s NetCast Entertainment Access technology for “Broadband HDTVs”. With Ethernet access providing information and content directly via the Internet. With partners such as Yahoo, Netflix and YouTube providing plenty of content. Read more

Samsung BD-P4600

Just freshly announced at the CES ’09 the Samsung BD-P4600 blu-ray player is the “world’s thinnest blu-ray player”. Just like last year with the HDTVs, everyone wants that “world’s thinnest title”. Read more

LG LF7700

The LG LF7700 series has been launched in direct competition of the popular Panasonic Viera series HDTVs which contain a built in FreeSat tuner.

LG LH5000

Having just announced the super slim LED backlit LG LH9500 range, also known as the LG LH95 in America, LG have just revealed two more ranges, the LG LH5000, and the LG LF7700. Read more
