Dell G2410

Many of the new HDTVs announced for 2009 have tried to win us over with their Eco friendly / green models. Now it’s the turn of LCD computer monitors with the Dell G2410 “green flat panel” monitor.

This new 24-inch G Series monitor was announced during CES and has now shown it’s face on Dell’s website. Featuring a Full HD / 1080p widescreen resolution of 1,920x 1080 pixels it’s great for viewing HD movies. Read more

philips 47pfl9704The new Philips 9000 series has been divided into two separate ranges, the 9600 (9604) and the Philips 9700 (9704) series. There are currently very few details available on the new 9700 series, but we do know it’s one of their highest end models, stepping above the 9600 series, by adding advanced LED backlighting. lg lh70LG Korea have just announced two new, great looking Xcanva Scarlet LH70 sets, both of which feature integrated bluetooth wireless connectivity. We have seen similar bluetooth technology used in the LG 7000 series before, but the LG LH70 models seem more advanced, and look superb. Read more

Philips BDP-3010, BDP-5010, BDP-7310

With essentially the same models, with slightly different model names (ending in 10, rather than 00), the details and specifications are the same. Read more

Philips BDP3000, BDP5000, BDP7300

philips bdp73000Philips have announced three new Blu-ray players for the UK / European market which Philips says are “pushing the boundaries in picture quality and sound experience.”

The range is separated into the usual higher end, mid and lower range, with the Philips BDP7300, BDP5000 and BDP3000 models respectively. Read more

Philips Net TV

We heard about Philips Net TV about a year ago when Philips announced it at CES. Since then we have heard very little, well, until now that is.

Philips have announced that their Net TV feature is due to go live in April this year, and bring Internet access directly to the HDTV. Read more

Sony 2009 UK / European HDTV Lineup

Just a short month after announcing their new U.S lineup for 2009 at CES, Sony have now revealed their Bravia lineup for the UK and Europe.

Most of the models are the same, but of course with different model names, and slight specification differences.  This year Sony seem to be targeting the Eco friendly side of the market with their greenest ever LCD HDTVs, especially with the new WE5 series, and also the advanced networked, media technology side. Sony Bravia E5500Sony have updated their “picture frame” style HDTV range with the new Sony E5500 series. Designed to look very much like a picture frame, the stylish and slim Sony Bravia E5500 series comes in a choice of black, aluminium, and walnut effect finishes.

When the HDTV is not being watched, a special Picture Frame mode can be automatically enabled to show a selection of photos, or you can even upload and use your own. Read more
