Sky HD receivers: New Software
As with all new technology and hardware, the first release of the product is often ridden with bugs and problems that need to be smoothed out. Sky HD is one such example, Sky have been contacted regularly by annoyed customers with their malfunctioning HD box.
Thanks for a recent firmware update, these problems seem to be a thing of the past!, and everything is running nice and smoothly.
To check if your system has been automatically upgraded, check the Services Menu, then Set up, then go to System Details. The model number for the updated software should read 607 120.
Many bugs have been fixed, and the software should now be much faster and responsive, especially when skipping around with the video, as well as a faster electronic programme guide (EPG), and fixed aspect ratio problems.
