Sky HD To Launch 3D TV Channel

BSkyB will become the first broadcaster in Europe to launch a 3D channel.

3D has recently exploded with many film studios now recording their movies in 3D, along with many 3D animated movies.

Sky said that will launch a 3D HD channel next year. The 3D channel will showcase movies, entertainment and sports.

It’s Sky+ HD box is capable of delivering 3D content to a compatible “3D Ready” HDTV.

Users will of course have to have the Sky HD subscription and HD Box, along with a “3D Ready” HDTV and wear special 3D glasses. There are a few 3D ready HDTVs on the market, but many more are expect to follow over the next few years.
