DVI / HDMI is now the preferred method of connecting HD sources. HD-DVD, Blu-ray, Playstation 3, HDTV TiVo / cable boxes, and Media Center PCs all look and function the best with HDMI rather than Component. The Xbox 360 will also be stepping up to DVI in the near future.
