Laser HDTV

Laser HDTV technology is built on an unique optoelectronic chip paired with a laser projection device which creates an image on the display. Laser HDTVs are scheduled to appear in the fourth quarter of 2007 by large brands such as Samsung and Mitsubishi.
The Laser technology partners that developed this technology said “If you look at any screen today, the colour content is roughly about 30-35 percent of what the eye can see. But the very first time with a laser TV we’ll be able to see 90 percent of what the eye can see.” This is without question a great step forwards in HDTV technology. This 10-bit color depth is not the only advantage these Laser HDTVs, they also use only a quarter of what current HDTVs use and will cost only half the price!.
With SED and Laser HDTV coming your way shortly you can expect to see a big price drop as “old” HDTV technologies drop down in price to compete with the newer, better and cheaper displays.
