Some pretty big news just popped into my email this morning.
Sky have today confirmed that they will launch Sky 3D, Europe’s very first 3D TV channel, with the Manchester United and Chelsea Barclays Premier League match on Saturday 3rd of April!
Apparently over a thousand pubs have already signed up for Sky 3D, but it’s not all about pubs. With the official launch coming very soon the Sky 3D channel will be available at no extra cost to residential customers with the HD pack and Sky’s top channels. Read more

Senior Analyst Tom Morrod says, “The news that the FIFA World Cup will be filmed in 3D for the first time will certainly increase the uptake rate of 3D TVs in the home and develop the installed base earlier than would otherwise have been the case.” Read more
