ViewSonic N3251w & N2751w ‘Future-Proof’ HDTV

ViewSonic_N3251wViewSonic has made two new additions to their range of LCD TVs; the 27-inch N2751w, and the 32-inch N3251w.

Both the LCD TVs offer compatibility with High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) video connections, and support for the new HDCP copyright protection format, which the company claims, will continue to provide the highest quality digital signals in future.

Unveiling the products, Jeff Volpe, vice president - marketing, ViewSonic, said that while analog component video is currently the most prevailing input connection for high-end video, HDMI is rapidly becoming the preferred technology for connecting high definition video and audio devices.

Volpe said that by equipping their displays with high-end features and advanced input options, ViewSonic is ensuring that their TVs are compatible with digital HDTV over-the-air broadcasts, HDTV cable and satellite set-top-boxes, media center PCs, and the new format HD DVD-players.

The N2751w and N3251w offer high-definition 1366 x 768 video resolutions, eight millisecond video response times, 1000:1 contrast ratios, and wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratios, the key ingredients for delivering a superior screen experience.

The two LCD TVs support the DVI/HDCP digital connection format when used with a HDMI-to-DVI adapter; as also traditional TV inputs such as S-video, component video, and composite video for connecting older DVDs, VCRs, and game consoles. Both displays feature VGA connections, allowing users to view high-definition video content from computers.

The new LCD TVs are equipped with integrated digital (ATSC) tuners, allowing consumers to view digital programming, such as over-the-air HD broadcasts, without purchasing or renting an external tuner.

Other key features include 2×10W Dolby audio, and SPDIF output connections to uphold top-quality digital sound while connecting to an external 5.1/7.1 surround sound audio system.

Meanwhile, ViewSonic has also rolled out the N2011 LCD TV, a low-cost, 20-inch flat screen targeting customers who want to replace a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) system. The N2011 features a 12-millisecond LCD panel response time, and can display digital video signals in 480p resolution.

The N2751w, N3251w, and N2011 are available through authorized ViewSonic retailers and resellers, for estimated street prices of $799, $999, and $399 respectively.
