Dell G2410

Many of the new HDTVs announced for 2009 have tried to win us over with their Eco friendly / green models. Now it’s the turn of LCD computer monitors with the Dell G2410 “green flat panel” monitor.

This new 24-inch G Series monitor was announced during CES and has now shown it’s face on Dell’s website. Featuring a Full HD / 1080p widescreen resolution of 1,920x 1080 pixels it’s great for viewing HD movies.

The Dell G2410 is being called on of Dell’s greenest LCDs and features a EPEAT Gold rating and PowerNap and Dynamic Dimming to reduce energy use. Using halogen-free laminates in the circuit boards and also contains 25% post-consumers recycled plastics.

Along with the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution the Dell G2410 features a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m² brightness and 5ms response time. The Dell G2410 offers both VGA and DVD-D inputs, connecting HDMI requires a simple DVD-HDMI adapter. It’s currently available on Dell’s site for $349.

There is also a smlightly smaller 22-inch model available, called the Dell G2210, which consumes on 18 watts (20w on the G2410), and costs $239.
