The new JVC LT-42WX70 is a 42-inch LCD HDTV which is aimed at digital image professionals and digital photography enthusiasts.
The full HD 1080p HDTV is similar to some of those “pro” LCD monitors, but this is the first HDTV / monitor of this size we have seen. The JVC LT-42WX70 has a much wider color space than typical HDTVs, and encompasses 100 percent of the sRGB color space (for HDTV signals) and a coverage rate of 96 percent for Adobe RGB.
This allows the LT-42WX70 to reproduce deeper reds, and bluish greens than are a characteristic of Adobe RGB. For photographers and imaging professionals the JVC LT-42WX70 enables them to see, for the first time subtle colors, textures and details of their images.
52 on screen image quality adjustment settings allow for fine tuning, and can be saved for future use. Making use of the new GENESSA Picture Engine with 12-bit (x RGB = 36-bit) processing. The JVC LT-42WX70 is not just for image pro’s, it’s also a very well featured HDTV, also features 120Hz Clear Motion Drive III for smoother action, and sharp detailing during motion scenes, and a native 4,000:1 contrast ratio.
A separate low profile tuner, the JVC TU-CX100 can be placed away from the HDTV, mounted, or placed horizontally or vertically on a surface. Design wise the JVC LT-42WX70 is slim and lightweight, with a leather like textured bezel which helps to reduce glare. The rear of the set is finished in metailic silver to a clean finish, without any screws or vents.
