While the upcoming OLED HDTVs are remarkably thin by nature, JVC have just announced a stunningly thin 32-inch LCD monitor.
The JVC GD-32X1 is just 8.9mm thick at it thinnest point, while expanding to 22.5mm thick at is lower half to fit in all the electronic components. While it might not be 8.9mm thick all the way, it certainly is very thin indeed.
As you would expect, the JVC GD-32X1 features a 1920 x 1080p / Full HD resolution, along with a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, and the JVC Genessa Premium image processing technology.
The JVC GD-32X1 also features 100% coverage of sRGB, and 90% Adobe RPG colour space for excellent color reproduction. While the GD-32X1 might seem more aimed at business users the extremely thin LCD also features 120Hz processing to reduct motion blur and image judder.
