Sony has revealed four new Blu-ray players and recorders which are set to hit the market on November 8th. The four blu-ray players and recorders can of course play back BD (blu-ray) discs as well as burn 50GB dual-layer BD-R/RE discs and also feature a hard disc drive between 250GB and 500GB on the top model.
The four players / recorders are split into three groups, the T, L and X. The Sony BDZ-T50 has a 250GB drive(80 hours), while the BDZ-T70 and BDZ-L70 have a 320GB drive (105 hours) and the BDZ-X90 a huge 500GB drive for 166 hours of HD recording.
The bottom of the line BDZ-T50 features a digital and analog tuners, while the other three feature 2x digital, and 2x analog tuners and allow two digital program recordings at one time. Outputs include, HDMI, D4, S-video, Composite, Analog audio Ã—2, Optical digital audio, and Composite Ã—2, S-video Ã—2, analog audio Ã—2 inputs. While the top of the line Sony BDZ-X90 also has Coaxial digital audio out, and one more of each inputs, and I.LINK (HDV/DV) and USB.
The top of the line Sony BDZ-X90 has a total of four tuners, gold-plated HDMI 1.3 output capable of 1080p, 60fps and 24fps, featuring DeepColor, a DNLA “Sony Room Link” for server functions and streaming media around your house. All have MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 encoding, with lossless TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio support, and HD bitstream output, plus support for AVCHD camcorders.
