The Sony BDP-S370 is the lower end model, the BDP-S570 the mid, and the Sony BDP-S770 their latest highend blu-ray player with 3D support. All three can be controlled from using your iPhone or iPod touch as a remote control.
While the Sony BDP-S370 might be at the bottom of the lineup, it’s no weak player. It features BD-Live support, 1080p HD output, Precision Cinema Upscale which enables you to watch your DVD in near HD quality. It also features an Ethernet port for online services and catch-up TV and Internet videos with Bravia Internet Video.
It is also Wireless LAN ready.
The Sony BDP-S570 has the same features as the S370 but also adds built in WiFi eliminating the need of an Ethernet cable. The Sony BDPS570 can also play videos and music through the home with DLNA support and USB connections.
The Sony BDP-S770 is Sony’s latest top of the range blu-ray player and their very first to support Blu-ray 3D movies. As you would expect it has all the same features as the other two models, along with 3D support. It uses a high frame rate of 200Hz and active shutter glasses to create the depth and deliver vivid full HD images. You will of course need a compatible 3D HDTV such as the newly announced Sony Bravia LX900.
