Both the Sharp BD-HP70U and BD-HP24U support Deep Color, Full 1080p HD at 24 frames per second over HDMI and lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. They are also very energy efficient and offer a target use of just 14 watts in operation and just 0.4-watt in standby, very low figures.
The latest Sharp blu-ray players both feature Ethernet ports for interactive features such as BD-Live along with Netflix instant movie streaming and news from RSS feeds. AVCHD playback is also supported.
The Sharp BD-HP24U has all the features mentioned above including Deep Color support and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. It can output Dolby Digital Plus on 7.1 channels for theater quality sound.
