Earlier this year, Philips announced three new Blu-ray players for the European market.
One of those players announced was the top of the range Philips BDP7300 blu-ray player. This player has finally been launched, and should be available to order.
The Philips BDP7300 is claimed to be the fastest blu-ray player currently available. At first the word “fastest” might sound a little strange, well that is if, you have never owned a blu-ray player before. Blu-ray players are notorious at being slow to start and and begin playback, many taking many minutes , which can be annoying.
Philips do not quote how many seconds the Philips BDP7300 takes to start up, but does say “by offering quick offering quick start up times but without the need to use any extra power usage in standby mode.”
As you would expect from a top of the line blu-ray player the Philips BDP7300 features 1080p, 24p, with Deep Colour support, and BD-Live / Blu-ray profile 2.0 support.
Decoding of DTS Master Audio Essential and Dolby TrueHD audio is featured, along with 7.1 channel output.
A USB 2.0 port on the front of the BDP7300 provides media support for AVCHD videos, along with DivX, WMV, JPEG, WMA and MP3 files.
