The yet to be officially announced, LG HR400 Blu-ray recorder is set to make it’s way to the European market shortly.
Yet again it seems as if the U.S market has been ignored when it comes to blu-ray recorders. Anyhow, the upcoming LG HR400 features BD-Live support / blu-ray profile 2.0, along with a built in DVB-T TV tuner and 160GB hard drive.
So as well as playing back blu-ray movies, and burning blu-rays, the LG HR400 can also record directly from the TV tuner to the internal hard drive, and also provide DVR functions.
The LG HR400 also does the usual 1080p upscaling of DVDs to get the best out of your existing collection, but better yet, the HR400 also supports DivX HD file playback. Additionally it also features YouTube compatibility, and the ability to stream media clips from other network connected devices.
The LG HR400 is estimated to cost €599. The release date is currently unknown.
