Can the Avatar 3D blu-ray help entice users to purchase 3D HDTVs like it did in brining people to the cinema wearing their 3D glasses? Many people sure hope it can.
While Fox hasn’t announced anything official just yet, James Cameron has spoken about a 3D blu-ray release, even revealing dates in a Well Street Journal interview.
He says that Avatar will be available in DVD and Blu-ray (in standard 2D) from April 22nd, and a special edition DVD, and the Blu-ray 3D version arriving in November. Thats seven months after the 2D edition. This will allow most manufacturers to release and get their 3D hardware out of the door.
